Director of Content Design – AR

Meta

In Reality Labs, content designers have the opportunity to work on emerging tech products while making impressive impact through UX design. As the CD lead for the Augmented Reality (AR) org, you will shape new computing platforms that will make people more connected, and empowered in the world. This means smart glasses, augmented reality creation tools and other new products. This is an org leader role that will operate across a number of distinct product areas to communicate and connect concepts across many teams. You will be a key collaborator on the user experience and your leadership will be particularly valuable in some of our thorniest areas including brand, onboarding, privacy, and identity, where we need to communicate complex concepts and help people understand new technology. You’ll also consider how we set new patterns for how people interact in these budding platforms – think gestures and spatial user interfaces. You’ll partner with product, product design, UXR, engineering, marketing, legal, privacy, and other teams to define how we build these new experiences with people at the center – including strategy, operations and execution. The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals in people management; org building; content design, systems and user experience; experience elevating content quality and efficacy in a data-informed product culture, and a passion for equalizing global access to our product experiences. You’re a good fit if you like: – Helping shape how people interact with technology and enjoy building to understand and address complex social interactions in new spaces. – Building strong partnerships with XFN and other content design leaders to get things done. – Being a creative, systems-thinking UX leader. The work is nascent and you’ll have a chance to guide and shape direction across many product and language systems. – Operating horizontally to make connections across teams and workstreams.
