Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Virtual Production and VFX Supervisors, Virtual Production Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and integration of all virtual production stage technologies and managing the stage to ensure the virtual camera shoots run efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a “can do” attitude and enjoy the challenge of seeking solutions to complex technical problems for feature films and television.

Primary Responsibilities
· To lead and support technically challenging productions with on-set team/clients
· Oversee all aspects of Virtual Production including Mocap/Mosys
· Oversee set build planning/techvis
· Communicate technical needs to production ie. the Director, DP, Sound, VFX, etc
· Prep unreal assets and layout files for motion capture and virtual camera sessions
· Consistently maintain a high standard of quality and speed
· To work with the Technology Management team to develop & support company virtual production tools
· Quickly and accurately respond to production leadership direction and execute actions personally or delegate
· Generate an accurate estimate of the stage or on-set labor of project bidding
· Supervise staff during on-set shootings
· Integrate assets with on-set stage props.

Qualifications
Skills and Experience
· Japanese Language proficiency is a must.
· Strong & proven leadership, communication and problem-solving skills and confidence with clients and managing their expectations
· Proven ability to prioritize conflicting tasks
· Ability to work within a team towards a common goal
· Feature film on-set experience
· Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine
· Excellent knowledge of Maya
· Experience with visual effects pipeline
· Experience with a virtual camera or VR scouting sessions
· Technical understanding of cameras – film back, aperture, shutter, FOV etc
· Scripting experience a plus – Python & Mel
· Experience with virtual production frameworks in Unreal Engine such as LiveLink, Multi-User Editing, nDisplay
· 2+ years of on-set experience.
· DCC experience a plus: Maya, Houdini, Blender, 3DSMax, Nuke, Zbrush, Substance
· Working knowledge with ray tracing and other rendering techniques.
· Working knowledge with ACES/OCIO
· Working knowledge with gen lock and synchronization
