Unique Skills:

Responsible for the operation of virtual production hardware and software connected to the Zero Density pipeline to ensure operational efficiency and stability. Works very closely with the Sr. Studio Systems Engineer to ensure entire studio pipeline is in synch. Must have the technical knowledge and familiarity to oversee virtual production hardware such as real-time render nodes, EZtrack & Zero Density Traxxis talent and camera tracking systems, Maxicrane jib, DMX lighting control and PTZ camera control. Knowledge or experience with Unreal Engine and virtual/XR pipelines and broadcast or studio production experience preferred.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 years Experience working within a virtual studio production environment, film production, Virtual or XR production, motion capture, or Real-Time Graphics production. 

Position Purpose: 

This position is responsible for operating and maintaining the Zero Density/Unreal pipeline to ensure all aspects are fully working and performant for virtual productions. The Zero Density/Unreal pipeline includes the software, hardware, tracking, and lighting systems used to create a final seamless in-camera image. Responsible for the operation of virtual production hardware and software connected to the Zero Density pipeline to ensure operational efficiency and stability. Works very closely with the Systems Administrator to ensure entire studio pipeline is in synch.
Job Description
 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 

Essential Functions:Oversee the Zero Density/Unreal hardware and software stack .
 
Must have the technical knowledge to oversee virtual production hardware such as real-time render nodes, EZtrack & Zero Density Traxxis systems, Maxicrane jib, DMX lighting control and PTZ camera control .
 
Troubleshoot hardware and technical issues around tracking, connectivity, lighting, tool behavior, and assets .

Provide time-to-completion estimates for changes or issues .

Develop tools or processes to streamline workflows .
 
Triage and report issues to Broadcast Engineer & Multimedia Production Manager .
 
Ensure final production deliverables are efficiently available to creative team .

Additional Functions:Collaborate with the creative team to ingest, setup, optimize and validate Unreal assets within the Zero Density pipeline 

Advise and support implementation of digital environments, talent, and physical props during virtual productions .
 

Perform other duties as assigned. 

Other Requirements:
Knowledge or experience with Unreal Engine and virtual XR pipeline preferred.
 
Understanding of network communication.
 
Operational programming language troubleshooting experience .
 
Must be highly computer literate with Windows and Mac Operating Systems.

Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and be able to handle a variety of tasks in an efficient manner.

Creative technical problem solver, able to improvise solutions under pressure and live-production situations.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills.
